In 1977, with a handful of employees and a focus on what was then the newly deregulated world of communications, the company that today is JCT Solutions got its start.
Back then the company was known as Johnston Communications after its founder, Phil Johnston, a veteran of the industry who was one of the first to see the potential in providing businesses and organizations with communications and networking solutions adapted to their specific needs.
Today, as JCT Solutions, we are company well known for our expertise in designing, installing and maintaining virtually every kind of communications solution—from traditional voice systems to the latest data and wireless networking technologies to solutions for video surveillance, access control and 911/emergency dispatch.
Our team now numbers over 100, including some 60 technicians. Our clients include major municipalities and government agencies, K-12 school districts, colleges and universities, leaders in insurance, finance and media, and many others. And, because so many of our clients operate 24/7/365, we are available 24/7/365.
To better reflect the wide range of solutions we deliver, we updated our name in 2019 to JCT Solutions,along with a new logo and tagline.
Our new look signifies where we are coming from as well as where we are going—to a future where our clients have everything they need to unlock the power of today’s security, communications and networking solutions.
While the branding is new, inside we are the same. Our top management team –including President Steve Mullen and Executive Vice President George Sode—have been with the company for decades. You can be sure that we will continue to maintain the standards, in-depth technical expertise and track record of outstanding performance that have always been the keys to our success.
In short, when it comes to delivering, communications, networking and security solutions in the New Jersey/New York area, we don’t believe anyone does it better than JCT Solutions. And we intend to keep it that way.
