Alyssa's Law

Alyssa’s Law—a state law enacted in New Jersey in 2019—requires that all public school buildings be equipped with silent panic alarms capable of alerting local law enforcement and first responders that an incident is taking place.

To comply with Alyssa’s Law, the alarm—which would not be audible within the school building— must be directly linked to local law enforcement and immediately transmit a signal or message to the authorities upon activation.

JCT Solutions developed a solution for complying with Alyssa’s Law based on its extensive experience implementing communications and security technologies for some of the largest New Jersey K–12 school districts as well as community colleges, private colleges, and state universities.
